Delete your account and data

This page explains how to ask Sath Labs, the developer of the 6Novel app for Android and iOS, to delete your account and the personal information tied to it. It follows section 10 of our Privacy Policy.

Fastest way. In the app, open Profile → Delete account and confirm. Deleting is permanent and cannot be undone.

Option 1: Delete it in the app

This is available when you are signed in with Google or Apple.

Open 6Novel and go to Profile.
Under Account, tap Delete account.
Read the warning, then tap Delete account again to confirm.

Your account is deleted straight away. A clean-up pass runs about twenty minutes later to remove anything written by a device that had not yet noticed the deletion.

Option 2: Ask us by email

Use this if you cannot open the app, if you have uninstalled it, or if you only use 6Novel without signing in.

Email support@sathlabs.com with the subject Delete my 6Novel account.

If you signed in with Google or Apple: write from the email address linked to your account (for Apple, the address you chose to share).
If you use 6Novel as a guest: include your Reader ID. It is the short code shown under your name on the Profile screen; tap it to copy your full ID.

We may ask you to confirm that the account is yours, so that nobody can delete someone else's. We will tell you by email when the deletion is done.

What is deleted

On our servers, deleting your account permanently removes:

your account and sign-in details;
your library, reading progress, ratings, likes and reports;
your wallet and any coins you have left, and your rewards and check-ins;
your push notification tokens;
your purchase records.

Comments. Your comments are not left under your name. They are replaced by a "deleted" placeholder so that other people's replies still make sense, and the text is removed.

What can remain, and for how long

Backups. We keep a rolling set of recent automatic database backups (the latest 30). Information you delete can remain in a backup until a newer one replaces it. We do not restore deleted accounts from backups.
Analytics and crash reports. If you allowed them, they are kept in Google Firebase for the retention period configured in our Firebase project, then removed by Google.
Store records. Apple and Google keep their own purchase and billing records under their own policies. We cannot delete those.

Before you delete

Subscriptions. Deleting your account does not cancel a Premium subscription. Cancel it first in Google Play or the App Store, or you will keep being charged.
Coins. Coins you have left are deleted with the account and cannot be restored.
Staff accounts. Accounts that hold an editor or author role cannot be deleted in the app. Email us instead.
Uninstalling is not deleting. Removing the app from your device does not delete your account or data on our servers.

If you only want to change a setting

You can change your ad choices without deleting anything else. In the app, open Profile → Support → Ad privacy (shown only where the law requires it). On Android you can also reset your advertising ID or opt out of ads personalization in your device's Settings → Privacy → Ads.
