1Novels ("we", "us") operates a web novel reading app. This page explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
Data we collect
- Anonymous device identifier: when you use the app without signing in, we create an account identifier tied to an install ID generated by the app on your device. This identifier contains no personal information.
- Sign-in information (optional): if you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive and store your email address and an account identifier provided by Google/Apple, so we can recognize you on your next visit and across devices. We never receive your password.
- Reading activity: your reading progress (novel, chapter, position) and your library, so we can sync them across your devices.
What we do NOT collect
- No passwords and no payment information in the current version.
- No third-party advertising or analytics services that track you.
How we use data
- To let you sign in and recognize you across devices.
- To store and sync your reading progress and library.
- To operate and secure the service.
Storage and sharing
Your data is stored on our own server (a PostgreSQL database on a dedicated rented server). We do not sell your data and do not share it with third parties, except where required by law. Google/Apple sign-in is handled by Google/Apple under their own policies.
Your rights
You can request access to or deletion of your account data by contacting us. You may use the app anonymously without providing an email.
